Visiting the Museum
The Smoky Hill Museum is a regional history museum in the heart of downtown Salina, Kansas.
- 90 minutes north of Wichita on I-135, 90 minutes east of Hays on I-70, 90 minutes west of Topeka on I-70; between 7th and 8th Streets on Iron Avenue.
- Plenty of free parking to the west and south of building.
- Wheelchair access on northeast side of building entrance, and museum interior is easily accessible with ramps and elevator.
- Museum Store open during regular gallery hours.
- Free admission.

The Smoky Hill Museum is a division of the Salina Arts and Humanities Commission, a department of the City of Salina. The Friends of the Smoky Hill Museum is an auxiliary organization created to support the activities of the Smoky Hill Museum, including funding, volunteer services, advocacy, public relations assistance, and community involvement.
